Materials
Note: If you plan to make the bag, hat and scarf, 2 balls of Blippity provide a sufficient amount of yardage for all three accessories.

4 Crystal Palace Party Ribbon, Celery 203
1 Crystal Palace Party Ribbon, Kiwi - Mangos 434 –
1 Crystal Palace Blippity, Kiwi- Mangos 434
Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet Hooks sizes H & I or size needed to obtain gauge
8 gold beads, 8 mm
Gold beaded bag handles
Gold magnetic snap
9” X 16” piece of lining fabric
Yarn needle

Gauge using larger hook: 5 hdc & 4 rows = two inches

Handbag
Foundation
Using larger hook and Party Ribbon Celery, chain 21.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch to end: 20 hdc, turn.
Rows 2 - 5: Ch 2, dc to end, turn. Cut yarn at end of Row 5.

First Ruffle
Using larger hook and Party Celery, chain 41.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch to end: 40 hdc, turn.
Rows 2 - 5: Ch 2, dc to end, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, *2 sc tog; rep from * to end: 20 hdc.

Attach Ruffle
Row 7: Holding RS facing, place Ruffle over Foundation piece, working thru both pieces, matching sts, hdc across, turn.
Rows 8 – 12: Ch 2, hdc to end, turn. Cut yarn at end of Row 12.

Edging
Row 1: Using smaller hook and Blippity, work 1 row sc across bottom of ruffle.
Second Ruffle
Rep First Ruffle and attach as for First Ruffle. Add edging.
Third Ruffle
Rep First Ruffle and attach thru Row 7, add edging.
Rows 8 & 9: Ch 2, hdc to end, turn. Cut yarn at end of Row 9.

Make two.

Assembly
Sew side and lower edges of both pieces together, leaving ruffles free. Then sew ends of ruffles together.

Fold lining in half. Sew sides. Fold under upper edge to fit inside bag, leaving upper row free. Place markers in center of both front and back of lining. Insert magnetic snap into center of front and back of lining. Whip stitch lining to bag, leaving upper row free.

Sew handles to bag.

Trim
Using smaller hook and Kiwi – Mangos, chain 13, leaving 4” tail at beg of chain.
Row 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, *3 sc in next st; rep from * to end. Cut yarn, leaving 4” tail. Tie and knot ends together. Slip 1 bead to one tail and knot. Slip 3 beads to other tail and make knots in between beads. Trim ends of tails. Make two.

Overlapping tops of Trims, sew to front of bag.

Note that this hat would make a perfect
Chemo Cap - Party Ribbon is very soft.
