Deco-Ribbon + Tingle Eyelash brim hat

1 - 50 gr. ball of Deco-Ribbon + 1 - 50 gr. ball of Tingle eyelash
 

Materials: 1 - 50 gr ball Deco-Ribbon: #9235 (lemonade) and below #9237 (strawberry)
and 1 ball of Tingle eyelash #3868 (jade tweed) and below #9016 (pink carnation)
Crystal Palace Bamboo circular 16" size 10-1/2 needles and 8" DP needles (or you may want to knit the entire hat with DPs)

[Note: If you wish to make a taller or larger hat, instead of knitting for 7 inches before beginning to dec, work for 9 inches or more.]

Gauge: in k1 x p1 rib pattern: 4 sts=1" NOT stretched.

Instructions:

Cast on 60-sts being careful not to twist first row.

Knit first 12 rows with Tingle

Change to Deco-Ribbon and work K1, P1.

Work in rounds for 7 inches. Place marker.
[Note: during dec rows the K1,P1 pattern will break up a little, this is normal, just K the knits and P the purls.]
Next round: Work 8 sts, K2 tog (repeat around circumference) – 54 sts
Work 1 round (K the Ks, P the Ps since the decreases will change the order)
Next round: Work 7 sts, K2tog - 48
Work 1 round
Next round: Work 6 sts, K2 tog – 42
Work 1 round
Next round: Work 5 sts, K2 tog – 36
Work 1 round
Next round: Work 4 sts, K2tog – 30
Work 1 round
Next round: Work 3 sts, K2 tog – 24
Work 1 round
Next round: Work 2 sts, K2 tog - 18
Work 1 round
K2 tog = 9 sts
K2 tog until 1 st remains and bind off.
