Crocheted Deco-Ribbon Bag Pattern

Materials:  3 - 50 gr balls Deco-Ribbon (color #102 used for this bag). Or use 4 balls for a bigger bag.

Hook: size H Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet Hook
Gauge: 7 sts = 2 inches in double crochet (dc)
Tip: Make the Cord first and then use up all remaining yarn for the bag.

Chain 6: Join using a slip stitch to make a ring.

Rnd 1: Work 8 dc into ring
Rnd 2: 2 dc into each stitch (16 sts)
Rnd 3: 2 dc into each stitch (32 sts)
Rnd 4: *1 dc into next 2 sts, 2 dc into next st* Repeat between *'s until you have 56 sts.
Work even until length from beginning is 12.5" or desired length.

Knit Cast On Cord: Using a size 8 circular knitting needle, cast on 190 sts. Cast off using a size H crochet hook.

Crocheted Cord: Using a size H crochet hook, chain 190 for foundation row. Turn. Single crochet into each foundation chain to end.

Lace the Cord through the bag and tie a knot at each end as shown below.

You may want to decorate the flap of the bag with a big button, a brooch, etc.
