Mikado Ribbon with a little Splash Knit Scarf
a free knitting pattern
Mikado Ribbon
is a 50/50 cotton/viscose rayon ribbon.
This short accessory type knit scarf was knit with one ball of
Mikado in color #7300 (rainforest
print) and just a
little of
a new color, Picnic #7235, Splash
(our eyelash yarn)
How to Knit this Scarf
Cast on 120 sts on size 9 circular 26" needles loosely
(I used Crystal Palace Bamboo needle)
Knit in garter stitch (knit every row)
Every 8-10 rows knit two rows of Splash
Knit until all Mikado is used up - ending with at least 4 rows of garter st in
Mikado
Bind off LOOSELY to avoid bowing of the edge. If you have problems with casting
off loosely, use a size 10.5 needle or larger for casting off.
To make a longer scarf, use 2 balls of Mikado Ribbon and cast
on 200 sts.
