Change to size 10 ¾ needles.
Begin Tweed Knot Stitch Pattern as follows:
Row 1(WS): Using colors a, knit
Row 2: Using color A, k1, *k next st in the stitch below, k1; rep from *
Row 3: Using color B, knit
Row 4: Using color B, k2 * k next st in the stitch below, k1; rep from * end

Repeat these 4 rows until piece measures 9 (9) (9.5) (10) (10)" for waist
length and 12 (12) (12.5) (13) (13)" for hip length, from Cast On edge, end
after completing a WS row. (Will lengthen approximately ¾-1" when worn).
Armhole Shaping:
Bind Off 3 (3) (3) (4) (5) sts in patt as estab at the beg of next 2 rows.

Dec 1 sts at each end every RS row 3 times ;work dec sts into stitch

Shape Shoulders and Neck:

Left Front:

size 10 ¾ needles. Begin working Tweed Knot Stitch pattern same as for Back,
until piece measures 10 (10) (10.5) (110 (11)" for waist length and 12 (12)
(12.5) (13) 13)" for hip length from CO edge; end after completing WS row.
Armhole Shaping:
BO 3 (3) (3) (4) (5) sts in patt at the beg of the next row. Dec 1 sts at
beg of every RS row 3 (3) (3) (4) (3) times, work dec sts into stitch
pattern. 15 (17) (19) (19) (21) sts. Continue working even in pattern until

row.
Shape Neck:

Finishing:
Using color A, set in sleeves. Using tapestry needle, sew side seams and
sleeve seams, use a flat seam to avoid an overly thick seam, (see below to
links for how to sew a flat seam). Sew on buttons , one on
each front where neckline begins, refer to photo, Make and attach button
loop.
Button Loop:
Using Crochet hook and color A make a chain long enough to go around both
buttons, looped around in a figure 8 ( the one in model is approximately
5"). It needs to be a little snug as it will relax with use. Anchor
beginning and end of chain on WS next to to outside of the right button. You
may want to tack the loop in the middle where it crosses over as it makes
the figure 8. Work in all ends.
