2-3 50 gr balls Bunny Hop (click to see all colors)
color #2302 "baby blues"
1 pr size 9 Crystal Palace Bamboo or DAISY Needles
Abbreviations:
K=knit, YO=Yarn Over, k2tog=knit 2 sts togetherNote: I realized I am not going to get this scarf finished right now, I knit in the semi-dark watching a movie and found I had made mistakes in the shaped end and need to frog it. So rather than not share the idea - I'm putting the begun-but-not-finished photos here. You can see from the ball of yarn in the photo that I had used only about 1/3 of the ball or less. The scarf could be any length, but 2 balls should make a normal scarf or 3 for a much longer one.
Instructions: (scarf will be 9" wide)
For square end eyelet scarf - cast on 45 sts and go to **For shaped end of scarf:
Cast on 28 (2 sts will be selvedge throughout the scarf length) - outer 2 sts on each side are always K.Row 1 and all odd rows: K2 selvedge sts, K8, *YO, k2tog* (4 times), K8, K2 selvedge sts
Row 2: K
Continue this same pattern for 12 rowsRow 13: Cast on 8 sts at the beginning and end of this row [44 sts]
Work Row 13: K2 selvedge, *YO, k2tog* (4 times), K8, *YO, k2tog*, K8, *YO, k2tog*, K2 selvedge.
Row 14: K
Work these 2 rows 10 more times [12 rows total]The end of the scarf is now complete and begin body of scarf.
Inc 1 st at beg of first row of body [45 sts]** Body (worked on 45 sts)
Row 1-3: K
Row 4: K5, *k2tog, YO, K5*, (repeat 5 times across 35 sts), K5Repeat these 4 rows until you use all the Bunny Hop or - if making a shaped end version, until there is approx. 1/5 ball left. Work the shaped end in reverse of the beg of the scarf.
