Note: If you have yarn
left, continue in lace stripe pattern if desired. |
Bind off loosely using 2 stitch I-cord.
k2 sts, slip the 2 sts purlwise back to left needle.
(k1, K next 2 sts together, slip 2 sts back to left needle) end k2 together.
Finishing: Weave in all ends and lightly steam the
edges. Do not block: The natural pucker of the lace pattern adds texture and
character to the shawl. When the edges curl up – let them. Note: if you want a
non-curled edge, work 3-4 rows of garter stitch as final rows.

Designer Sue Mixer lives on a cliff over looking a small lake
three miles from Lake Michigan. She takes much of her inspiration from this
wondrous view of Mother Nature, as she transforms the yarn into beautiful
sunsets, rainbows, butterflies flitting about or the falling leaves of autumn.
