Knit Lengthwise on big size 17 circular needles

Deco-Ribbon is 70/30 acrylic/nylon
80 yds/50 gr ball

Splash (eyelash) is 100% polyester
  85 yds/100 gr ball

A Free Easy Knit Scarf Pattern
from 1 ball of each yarn
on size 17 circular CPY Bamboo Needles

The finished scarf is approximately 60" long x 5' wide

This is a VERY easy pattern - all garter stitch and knit lengthwise
to make the long vertical stripes
(garter stitch = knit all rows, no purl)

Knitting:
With Crystal Palace Bamboo 26" circular needles size 17 and
using Deco-Ribbon, cast on LOOSELY 90 stitches.
Knit 2 rows of Deco-Ribbon in garter stitch.
Change to Splash
work Splash in garter for 2 rows.
Continue in garter st stripes, alternating 2 rows Deco-Ribbon then 2 rows Splash,
until you have completed 4 stripes of Splash and 5 of Deco-Ribbon.
(Bind off the last row of Deco-Ribbon LOOSELY to prevent bowing of edge.)

Finishing:
No finishing is really necessary - the scarf is ready to wear.
To wash, put scarf into bowl or pan of warm water with a little liquid detergent -
squeeze to thoroughly wet scarf. Rinse. Gently squeeze out excess water.
Roll up in bath towels and walk on towels to squeeze moisture out.
Lay scarf flat and block to desired width/length.
You can block the scarf to be longer and narrow or wider and shorter.
Let dry overnight.
