Crystal Palace Splash Eyelash (100g):
6 balls of 7178 Cool Jazz (A), and 1 ball each of 7187 Orchid (C), 7234 Carnival (D), 7232 Seafoam (E)
Crystal Palace Baby Georgia 6079 Mist (B) 4-40 gram skeins or any fingering or sport weight yarn (total 560-600 yds)
Size Q crochet hook
[Note: Splash and Baby Georgia (or other fine yarn) are held double throughout crocheting this afghan.]Gauge:
Gauge is not crucial for this project. 5 dc and 2.5 rows over 4"Side panels (make 2):
Holding A and B together, Ch 24.
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, and each ch across (22 dc formed)
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, dc into 1st dc and each across.
Repeat row two 28 times (30 rows total).Middle panel (make 1):
Holding C and B together, Ch 14.
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, and each ch across (12 dc formed)
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, dc into 1st dc and each across.
Repeat row 2 twice.
Row 5: With D and B held together, repeat row 2 twice.
Row 7: With E and B held together, repeat row 2 three times.
Row 10: With D and B held together, repeat row 2 twice.
Row 12: With C and B held together, repeat row 2 eight times.
Row 20: With D and B held together, repeat row 2 twice.
Row 22: With E and B held together, repeat row 2 three times.
Row 25: With D and B held together, repeat row 2 twice.
Row 27: With C and B held together, repeat row 2 four times.Finishing:
Sew each side panel to middle panel with one strand of Baby Georgia (or fingering/sport yarn used in crocheting).Make Fringe:
Holding one strand of each color of Splash, wrap around a 9" book 19 times. Cut one
end. Now repeat 19 wraps and cut with main color 7178 cool Jazz (A). Place each 4 strand fringe into lower comer chain, and into about every 3rd chain, spacing evenly. Repeat at other end of throw. Fill in with rest of cut fringe.
