Pull out the Squiggles to one side

Using a smaller knitting needle (any size from a 3 to an 9 will work fine) pull the ends of the squiggle pieces forward to the front side of the piece you have just knit (either side can be the front). The more squiggle ends you pull to the front side the furrier your final beastie will be. Keep checking the back to see that you are catching the ends and pulling them through.

Sewing

Using doubled cotton thread (I used cotton quilting thread) and a sewing needle, sew the two narrow ends to each other. (Work with the Right Side inside while sewing, you will turn it inside out to stuff it.)
Now work the edges together, butting the edges against each other at one side and sew them. Partially sew the last seam, leave an opening of a few inches. Turn the piece inside out so the right side is outermost. Stuff the beastie firmly with polyester fiberfill and finish sewing the last seam.

Try forcing the Medium Squiggle Beastie to be unsymmetrical for a more interesting shape as you sew it.

Now that you see how I made two, you really don't need a pattern for more - just play around and make a piece and sew it into a shape.

Felting

This part is so easy - when you are ready to do some laundry - just toss your stuffed, knit beastie into the washing machine with your laundry and take it out at the end of the cycle. I don't put mine in the dryer, the wash cycle of 5-7 minutes seems to be plenty to felt your little guys.

They will dry quick quickly since the poly fiberfill doesn't hold water and allows air to circulate.

I'd love to see photos of your Squiggle Beasties - send a digital photo to cpyinfo -at- straw.com (where the -at- is replaced with the @ symbol for email).
