Shambala Ear Warmer
Level: Beginner
Introduction: Shambala is soft and
quick to knit into this cozy head wrap. This wrap is knit in a mock ribbing
using St st and Rev St st.
Abbreviations: K: knit, P: purl
Materials:
Needles: US size 13 Crystal
Palace Bamboo Needles
Gauge: 2.75 sts/.in (11 st/10 cm) over St st.
Yarn: 1 ball Crystal Palace
Shambala color #8011 -
lapis is shown
(Note: a woman's size head wrap uses only
about 1/2 ball, so there is plenty to make a large man's size.)
Size: Size as you knit to fit any size head
Cast-On: 12 stitches
(first 3 rows are worked in St st, next 3 rows are worked in Rev St st)
Row 1: K
Row 2: P
Row 3: K
Row 4: K
Row 5: P
Row 6: K
Repeat these 6 rows until the knit band wraps
slightly stretched around your head.
