INSTRUCTIONS

CO 66 sts with circular needles.  Join and knit until piece measures 6.5".

Divide the sts onto dpn's as follows:  Place the first 6 sts on a scrap piece of yarn, place 27 sts on one dpn, place next 6 sts on a scrap piece of yarn, place last 27 sts on another dpn.

Leaving the sts on the scrap yarn aside, work the 3-Needle Bind Off.

3-Needle Bind Off:

Hold dpn's parallel.  Insert third (working) dpn into front of first st on front needle, then into front of first st on back needle.  Knit these 2 sts together.  Repeat for the second st on front and back needle.  Slip first st on working needle over second stitch on working needle.  (One st bound off.)

Repeat until you have one st left on working needle.  Fasten off.

I-Cord Knots:

Slip first set of 6 held sts onto a dpn and remove scrap yarn.  Join yarn.

Rnd 1:  Knit across.  Do not turn.

Rnd 2:  Bring yarn around back and knit across.  Do not turn.

Repeat Rnd 2 until piece measures 3".  Cut yarn, leaving a 6"-8" tail.  Thread yarn with tapestry needle through remaining sts.

Do the same for the second set of 6 held sts.  Weave in all loose ends.  Tie knots.
